SPECIAL OFFER FOR PRIVATE SAILING BOAT CHARTER - ALL INCLUSIVE

Baie Longue, Prunes Bay, St. Maarten - St. Martin Airport Beach & Little Bay

Discover the world's most famous airport at Maho Beach & the most beautiful bays with snorkeling tours

Departure

We depart Dock Maarten, Philipsburg around 9 AM. Coffee and fresh croissants are waiting for you already. After a short safety briefing we set off to the French side and our first stop, Baie Longue. While we are underway, we will serve mimosas and some canapés along with some local stories, history and myths or you can simply relax in the net on the bow and enjoy the waves and the wind in the sails.

Long Bay and Prunes Bay

Alright, so this is the fancy area of the St. Maarten – St. Martin island. Many celebrities have their mansions here and we will make sure to let you know who is who. We will drop anchor in the sheltered east corner that also has a nice snorkeling spot and is located right next to the fanciest Resort on the island, La Samana. While you enjoy a swim, snorkel or a casual walk on this amazing beach, we will cook lunch before heading off to Prunes bay.

All our food is freshly homemade, the night before the trip. We serve chicken breast marinade in an Indonesin sauce and tuna stakes cook to perfection by the captain, grilled on a real charcoal barbecue, while you are snorkeling or swimming. Needles to say, the open bar will be available all the time and we’ll make sure that your glass is always full. It´s important to stay hydrated.

St. Maarten Airport Beach and Little Bay

After Prunes Bay we will make a turn and head to our world famous St. Maarten Airport Beach. We will hang around the area outside Maho beach and watch the huge airlpanes as they land on Maho.

After that, we will continue to our next stop, Little bay. This is a very popular snorkeling site with a submerged helicopter, submarine, a statue and a lot of aquatic life.

After a snorkeling and swimming session, we will slowly set sails and head back to Philipsburg.

Our departure is scheduled for approximately 9 AM, depending on your arrival from the cruise ship at Dock Maarten, the home of Red Baron.

After leaving the dock, we will navigate our way to the French side of the island and head for the beautiful beach known as Bay Long. During this journey, I will entertain you with intriguing stories about the island and identify significant landmarks. In the meantime, we will serve refreshments – coffee, croissants, or perhaps a mimosa if you prefer.

Throughout the day, we operate a full open bar. Choose from five different local beers, our signature rum punch, champagne, mixed drinks, sodas, water, juices, and virgin punches, among others.

Approximately 1.5 hours into our sailing, we will arrive at our first stop: Bay Long. Following a brief orientation, we will prepare you for your first snorkeling experience. While you enjoy snorkeling, swimming, or paddleboarding, we will prepare a delicious lunch consisting of:

  • Marinated chicken breast in a sweet Indonesian soya sauce
  • Pasta salad and potato salad
  • Mixed green salad
  • Homemade garlic dip with French bread and various sauces on the side

All of this is prepared with love and served to you, so please do not hesitate to request more drinks.

After lunch, we will journey to Bay Prune, where the rich and famous from around the world, including the USA, own magnificent mansions. This will provide an opportunity to marvel at these fantastic properties and the incredible beaches that accompany them.

With a bit of luck, we might witness a large plane landing at our renowned Princess Juliana Airport. After passing through Simpson Bay, we’ll make our way to our next snorkeling stop: Little Bay. On the way, we serve melon, crackers with homemade salads, and a variety of drinks.

Upon arriving at Little Bay, you can plunge back into the water where a submerged helicopter and submarine await you in 20 ft water teeming with marine life. We provide masks, fins, snorkeling vests, and for the beginners, a thorough explanation of how to snorkel.

After this adventure, we will sadly need to return to the dock. However, I have another surprise up my sleeve (which I can’t disclose now, otherwise it wouldn’t be a surprise!).

If this sounds like the adventure you have in mind, please let me know. Also, don’t forget to check us out on TripAdvisor under Red Baron Charter Philipsburg.
